Garage of the Future

The Garage of the Future is an educational training company where modern technique stands central and whereby the image of the car industry gets a boost. Students learn through practical training and are trained by business people. The Garage of the Future arose from a collaboration with ROC Leiden, Bouwforce and vmbo Da Vinci College and is being developed by Hollandse Nieuwe. This educational training company is an imitation of a technical business environment. Work is carried out for real clients and invoices made for services rendered. The area is split into a number of functional spaces, in different colours and is connected by a floor that has been painted like a ring road so that all the vehicles can be reached: - Reception / sales / exhibition (370 m2) - Workplace electrical vehicles (229 m2) - Workplace classic / clean work (105 m2) - Workplace classic / dirty work (425 m2) - Practical Measuring & Control (123 m2) The Garage of the Future is a good example of how practice and theory can be integrated (in an environment which many garages would be jealous of).
