Hollandse Nieuwe was asked to make a design for the Faculty of Social Sciences and Behaviourial Sciences, University Utrecht.
In addition to work places for students and professors this faculty provides considerable facilities with treatment rooms and observation areas.

The building is conceived as a vertical city. The ‘city’ is a place where individuals and groups live and work together. A grateful metaphor for this sparkling organisation which is committed to an innovative view of man and society.
The building has many positions that have been arranged as meeting places. These are the hybrid environments, designed from the principal “multiple space”. People can lunch here, drink coffee, have formal and informal consultations, plenary meetings and work.
They have their own sphere and identity so that they contribute to the landmarks and navigation through the building. The materialisation ensures that it is a recognizable family.
